The Eight Treasure – Ba Duan Jin

Qigong (often pronounced Chi Kung) is a powerful type of health exercise, which has been practised for centuries by millions of Chinese people and is becoming increasingly popular in the UK. Qigong is based on repetitions of very precise sets of movements, specifically designed to benefit health on many different levels. A relaxed mind can better eliminate psychological and physiological stresses. A relaxed body can better tone up the muscles, joints and internal organs*.

Ba Duan Jin is a set of 8 such movements which when learnt well and practiced regularly have been proved to benefit the circulatory, digestive and respiratory system, whilst increasing limb strength and flexibility of the joints. The set; once learnt takes about 15 minutes from start to finish, maximum benefits are achieved by regular practice.
