Yoga and Pregnancy are natural partners.
Becoming a mother is a very special and personal journey. It’s a time of major life change and transformation, a time for women to discover and re-connect to their innate female powers and intuition. As a woman goes through pregnancy, labour, birth and motherhood, yoga is a very practical and effective companion, helping her adapt gracefully to the many changes that will take place both in her physical body, energy levels as well as her mental and emotional state.
Benefits include improved general health, lowered stress levels resulting in improved immunity, more restful sleep, less fatigue, better digestion, a stronger, better-aligned body as the baby grows, emotional stability, reassurance, a feeling of confidence, and a chance to meet & enjoy the support of other pregnant women.
A Pregnancy yoga class can contribute to the wellbeing of her whole “bodymind” (and “babymind!”), offering practices to nourish and heal both body and soul. These will include: calming breathwork, meditation, yoga nidra, specially adapted, safe & gentle yoga sequences, held in a supportive and friendly environment, in a beautiful candle-lit studio!
Yoga offers a lovely firm foundation and resources to women and their families for the decades of mothering that lie ahead, a truly effective path to self-care and nurture.
The classes are on Tuesday evenings at 6.45pm
A 6 week pass costs £75 (valid for 8 weeks) or drop in sessions for £15 a time.

Pre & Post Natal Pilates
Pilates strengthens your tummy, back and pelvic floor muscles without straining other joints, so it’s a great exercise to do when you’re pregnant. Some research suggests that doing pilates regularly can be as effective as doing pelvic floor exercises.
The main benefit of Pilates is that it targets the exact muscles and functions that can be a problem during pregnancy and after birth, in a safe way. It will strengthen your core muscles, including the pelvic floor, to stabilise your back, reduce back pain and help with balance as that bump grows, plus relax and control your breathing. Afterwards it will help you get back in shape!
